MEET OUR DIRECTOR

Marilyn Milne, Director of Early Childhood Education

Marilyn Milne has over 30 years experience in the early childhood education field, which has included both teaching and administration of child development programs. She has a BA in Child Development from California State University Northridge and worked in their Laboratory School for several semesters. Throughout the United States and Canada, she has both attended and presented workshops at numerous professional conferences. In the Los Angeles area, where she grew up, she was a field work supervisor for students from Pierce and Valley Community Colleges and California State
University, Northridge.

In San Diego, she has worked collaboratively on a number of projects with local organizations such as the Jewish Federation of San Diego, The Jewish Community Center, PJ Library, and Interfaith Community Services. In 2017, Marilyn was selected by the Union of Reform Judaism to participate in a national Community of Practice exploring innovative ways to engage families with young children, which she considers to be one of the most important components of her work at Temple Adat Shalom. Marilyn lives in Escondido with her husband, Michael. Her hobbies include camping, gardening and hiking.
